"After we receive a criteria change notice and we go into the clients search to re-activate it, it would be wonderful to have an email sent out to our clients automatically notifying them that their search has been re-activated. Presently I am sending them out the following notice..." - Andrew Mara

"Change the black icon with “!” mark to another color that is only used to for searches requiring re-activation (presently if a client goes in to de-activate their search it will also show up as a black ! icon) As you can see there is presently confusion whether the black ! icon is a client wanting their search to be re-activated or left de-activated and over time this will become even more confusing as more clients deactivate one or more of their searches." - Andrew Mara
The status of a search criteria can now be one of four possibilities:
SPECIAL NOTE: the black icon remains for any criteria set that has been set to be in-active. The new yellow icon will appear on any criteria sets that are added or updated from this day on. |

"On the automatic notices sent to me after a client changes their search criteria please have it sent to all three of us (this will ensure our clients receive attention in a timely fashion from the first of us to check our email)." - Andrew Mara

Change the labeling of the “Deleted” to “View Deleted Listings” so it is a little more user friendly (most people avoid hitting anything saying delete) - Andrew Mara.
This label/link appears on the summary of SCA matches within the top title bar - far right. Done! Great suggestion. |

Fix the “more details” glitch so that it always references the correct listing whether it has been deleted or not. - Andrew Mara
We have made the necessary changes to fix this and are awaiting field data to make sure that the appropriate listing appears when the 'More Details' link is clicked. This relates specifically to the state of the listing: whether the Client or REALTOR has placed the listing on the deleted list or left it on the active list. The debate still continues on whether deleted listings should be included in any searches. |

In compliance with an update in VREB policy regarding the display of previously matched listings that are no longer active those "listings that have changed status from active can only be displayed in the client's summary for 14 days".
This update negates this previous enhancement http://www.sidecaradvantage.com/news/index.php?topic=47.0 As such we have removed this coding. If you have any feedback at all on these issues please let us know! |

This enhancement has been deprecated in favour of: http://www.sidecaradvantage.com/news/index.php?topic=48.0
This was due to a VREB change in policy. "If they have been on the search for a long time and they open up in Advantage it defaults to an "all" setting in the Status filter. This can open up hundreds and sometimes thousands of listings and literally lock up the computer in some cases. I checked my own search and it had 2300 listings with only about 140 or so being active. I can definitely see the advantage in having access to all the old info but not as a default. It took about 5 minutes to open up and the computer was not functioning very well with that much information open." - Shawn Adye All done Shawn! Thanks for the suggestion. Here are the particulars:
As always your input is appreciated! |

100's/1000's of matches can occur because of vary 'open' search criteria and/or the length of some of your clients having been in the system.
VREB is ready to implement a policy change where only active listings and listings that have changed from that status within the last 14 days can remain in a Client's list of matches. If this is not the case please report any details you can to our office. |

Duplicate matches can occur because of overlapping search criteria.
